From Website Visitors

When you submit a listing removal or update request, we collect the practice name, address, Provider NPI, phone number, email address, and any additional notes you provide. This information is used only to process your request.

From Provider Listing Submissions

When a provider submits or claims a listing, we collect practice and provider information provided voluntarily, which may include name, address, NPI, phone, email, website, insurance networks accepted, business hours, bio, credentials, and other practice details. Information submitted for public listings is displayed in the directory and is publicly accessible.

From Stripe (Payment Processing)

If you subscribe to a paid listing tier, payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, Inc. We do not collect or store your credit card number or billing details. Stripe's privacy policy governs how your payment information is handled. You can review it at stripe.com/privacy.

Cookies and Browser Storage

We use cookies and browser localStorage for the following purposes:

• Google Analytics (GA4) — to measure site traffic and usage patterns
• Search result caching — to speed up repeated searches during your session
• Geocoding cache — to store city coordinate lookups so searches load faster

Provider listings in our directory are sourced primarily from the National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPPES), a publicly available government database maintained by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). This data is in the public domain. Providers may also submit or update their own listings directly through our platform.

If you are a listed provider and wish to update or remove your information, you may submit a request using the "Request Removal or Update" button on your listing, or by emailing us at admin@skipthecpap.com. We review all such requests within 3–5 business days.

5Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers: We use Google Analytics and Stripe to operate the site. These third parties receive only the data necessary to perform their functions and are governed by their own privacy policies.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by applicable law, court order, or governmental authority.
• Business transfer: If SkipTheCPAP.com is acquired or merged with another entity, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will post a notice on the site before any such transfer takes effect.

6Data Retention

• Contact and request form submissions are retained only as long as necessary to respond to or resolve the inquiry, then deleted.
• Provider listing data is retained as long as the listing is active. Providers may request removal at any time.
• Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' standard data retention settings (14 months by default).
• Payment records are retained by Stripe per their policies and as required for tax and legal compliance.

7Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your personal information
• Opt out of analytics tracking via your browser's cookie settings or the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on
