By accessing or using SkipTheCPAP.com (the "Site"), including browsing the directory, submitting a listing, or purchasing a subscription, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Site.
These Terms apply to all visitors, patients, and dental healthcare providers who use the Site in any capacity. Your continued use of the Site constitutes ongoing acceptance of these Terms as updated from time to time.
2 About SkipTheCPAP.com
SkipTheCPAP.com is a privately owned online directory that connects patients seeking oral sleep appliance therapy and mandibular advancement device (MAD) treatment with dental sleep medicine providers across the United States.
SkipTheCPAP.com is not a healthcare provider, medical practice, insurance company, or government-regulated entity. We do not provide medical advice, diagnoses, referrals, or treatment recommendations. We provide a searchable listing platform only.
Provider listings in our directory are based on information submitted by providers or sourced from publicly available datasets including publicly available government datasets such as the CMS National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPPES) and provider self-submissions. Listing on this Site does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, or verification of clinical competency by SkipTheCPAP.com.
3 Medical Disclaimer
Sleep apnea is a serious medical condition. Diagnosis requires a sleep study interpreted by a licensed physician. Oral appliance therapy requires a prescription and must be fitted and monitored by a qualified dental professional. Do not delay or disregard professional medical advice as a result of information found on this Site.
SkipTheCPAP.com does not verify the clinical credentials, licensure, board certifications, or current practice status of any listed provider beyond NPI verification at the time of listing approval. Patients are responsible for independently verifying provider credentials before initiating treatment.
4 Who May Use This Site
The Site is intended for use by:
- Patients — individuals seeking information about oral appliance therapy or searching for dental sleep medicine providers
- Dental healthcare providers — licensed dentists and dental sleep medicine specialists who wish to list or manage their practice on the directory
- General visitors — anyone accessing the Site for informational purposes
You must be at least 18 years of age to submit a listing, purchase a subscription, or submit any form on this Site. By using the Site, you represent that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
5 Provider Listings
Providers who submit a listing to SkipTheCPAP.com agree to the following:
- All information submitted is accurate, current, and complete to the best of your knowledge
- You are an actively licensed dental professional authorized to offer oral appliance therapy in the state(s) listed
- You grant SkipTheCPAP.com a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display your submitted information on the Site
- You will notify us promptly of any changes to your practice information, including address, phone number, or cessation of practice
- Your Provider NPI number is valid and verifiable in the CMS National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPPES)
SkipTheCPAP.com reserves the right to approve, decline, edit, or remove any listing at its sole discretion, including listings that contain inaccurate, misleading, or inappropriate content.
Free Standard listings are provided at no charge and may be added or removed at our discretion. Paid listing tiers provide enhanced visibility and features as described on our pricing page.
6 Subscriptions & Billing
SkipTheCPAP.com offers the following paid listing tiers for dental healthcare providers:
- ✓ Verified Listing — $50/year
- ◆ Premium Profile — $40/month or $400/year
- ⭐ Featured Listing — $75/month or $750/year
All payments are processed securely by Stripe, Inc., a third-party payment processor. SkipTheCPAP.com does not collect, store, or have access to your credit card number or payment credentials. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service available at stripe.com/legal.
Subscription fees are billed at the start of each billing period (monthly or annual, as selected at checkout) and are charged to the payment method on file with Stripe.
7 Automatic Renewal
Monthly subscriptions (Premium Profile and Featured only) renew automatically every 30 days at the monthly rate selected at signup.
Annual subscriptions renew automatically every 12 months at the annual rate selected at signup.
Before each renewal, Stripe will charge the payment method on file for the applicable subscription fee. By purchasing a subscription, you expressly authorize SkipTheCPAP.com and Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until your subscription is cancelled.
You are responsible for cancelling your subscription before the renewal date if you do not wish to be charged for the next billing period. SkipTheCPAP.com is not responsible for charges resulting from failure to cancel prior to renewal.
8 Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — your listing will remain active and your paid tier benefits will continue until that date.
To cancel your subscription:
Upon cancellation, your listing will be downgraded to a free Standard listing at the end of your paid billing period. Your practice will remain in the directory at no charge unless you request removal.
9 Refund Policy
All subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. Partial-period refunds are not provided for cancellations made mid-billing-cycle.
If you believe you were charged in error, please contact us at [email protected] within 7 days of the charge and we will review your case. Refunds granted at our discretion will be processed through Stripe to the original payment method.
SkipTheCPAP.com reserves the right to offer promotional pricing, trials, or credits at its discretion. Such offers are subject to separate terms communicated at the time of the offer.
10 Acceptable Use
You agree not to use SkipTheCPAP.com to:
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent listing information
- Impersonate another provider, practice, or individual
- Scrape, harvest, or systematically collect data from the Site without prior written consent
- Interfere with or disrupt the Site's infrastructure, servers, or networks
- Submit spam, unsolicited commercial messages, or malicious content through any form on the Site
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable federal, state, or local law
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Site or its systems
SkipTheCPAP.com reserves the right to terminate access for any user who violates these terms without notice or refund.
11 Intellectual Property
All content on SkipTheCPAP.com — including but not limited to the website design, logo, written articles, educational content, and directory structure — is the property of SkipTheCPAP.com and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or republish any content from the Site without prior written permission, except for personal, non-commercial use.
Provider listing information submitted by providers remains the property of the respective provider. By submitting your listing information, you grant SkipTheCPAP.com a non-exclusive license to display that information on the Site and in associated marketing materials for the duration of your listing.
12 Disclaimers
THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
SkipTheCPAP.com makes no representations or warranties regarding:
- The accuracy, completeness, or currency of any provider listing
- The availability, quality, or outcomes of services provided by any listed provider
- The uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Site
- The medical suitability of oral appliance therapy for any individual patient
We are not responsible for the actions, omissions, or conduct of any provider listed in the directory. Any relationship formed between a patient and a provider as a result of using this directory is solely between those parties.
13 Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SKIPTHECPAP.COM AND ITS OWNERS, OPERATORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SITE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Any reliance on provider listing information
- Any medical outcome resulting from treatment sought through a listed provider
- Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your submitted data
- Any interruption or cessation of Site services
In no event shall SkipTheCPAP.com's total liability to you exceed the amount paid by you for a subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim.
14 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SkipTheCPAP.com and its owners, operators, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:
- Your use of or access to the Site
- Any listing information you submit that is false, misleading, or inaccurate
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights
15 Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Wisconsin, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
Before initiating formal legal proceedings, you agree to first contact us at [email protected] to attempt to resolve any dispute informally. We will make good-faith efforts to resolve disputes within 30 days of receiving written notice.
16 Changes to These Terms
SkipTheCPAP.com reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. When changes are made, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify active subscribers via the email address on file.
